San Onofre Unit 1 Decommissioning Surveys

MBC supported AECOM in monitoring the offshore construction to set the SONGS Unit 1 offshore conduits to their final disposition. This was done to meet CA State Lands Commission requests in accordance with relinquishing their offshore lease. MBC conducted daily marine mammal observations from one of its vessels anchored in the area while construction was ongoing. MBC interfaced with AECOM and the construction crew from Manson during the project to ensure marine life protection.
